We provide a complementary return transfer to Assif n’Itrane from Merzouga village and Merzouga area hotels. A summer and winter schedule applies.
On arrival your transfer includes a 30 minute 4-wheel drive excursion from Merzouga through the lower Erg Chebbi sand dunes to Assif n’Itrane’s Camel Ride Departure Point where you will meet your local Berber Camel Guide who will lead your sunset camel ride into Assif n’Itrane. (Option to continue into camp in 4-wheel drive vehicle or to walk led by local Berber guide)

Arriving With Your Own Driver
If you are touring Morocco with a professional local driver in a 4-wheel drive off-road capable vehicle it is possible to continue with your driver/vehicle to Assif n’Itrane’s Camel Ride Departure Point. However, we strongly recommend you take the complimentary transfer we provide from Merzouga.
A high clearance vehicle is essential and your driver must have extensive experience driving in desert conditions – experience in driving through soft sand and a good knowledge of the Merzouga/Erg Chebbi area is essential.
Please note only Assif n’Itrane vehicles are permitted in the camp site.
Your driver must telephone us on (06) 61 14 29 59 the day prior to your arrival to confirm your arrival arrangements.
Self-Driving Clients
Where to Park:
Complimentary secure parking is available at some Merzouga area kasbahs, on request. Please notify us if you require parking. We will meet you at the kasbah and transfer you to/from Assif n’Itrane Deluxe Desert Camp.
There is no secure parking close to the camp. Please do not attempt to self-drive to Assif n’Itrane’s Camel Ride Departure Point.
Public Transport
We will meet you at the Merzouga village transfer point and transfer you to/from Assif n’Itrane Deluxe Desert Camp.
